Desmond graduated with Bachelor of Architecture and B.Sc (Architecture) (Hons), and is a winner of the Connell Wagner Award for Excellence in Architectural Structural from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia.

 

He is member of Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) and registered with Board of Architects (BOA) in Singapore since 1998. He has over 19 years of architecture practice experiences in Singapore and around the region.

 

Desmond co-founded MA Architects LLP in 2003 and the company has since been bought over in 2013. 

 

He is the founding director of a boutique architecture design firm, DI+ Architects Pte Ltd, specializing in Master Planning, Urbanism Architecture, Project Management and Interior Design with special emphasis on high end residential, hospitality and commercial developments around the region.

Desmond traveled extensively in South-East Asia, allowing him the exposure to the rich cultural diversity of regional architectural design perspectives and experiences, which greatly influences his architecture practice.  

 

In addition to his architecture practice, Desmond is also a Non-Executive Director of MDI Consulting (Vietnam) Co Ltd, where he is involved in policy making, planning and business strategies in hospitality, commercial and residential projects.
